What our sponsors are saying

"This project is amazing for many reasons. It's so vital for Jews around the world not only to connect with one another as a community, but also to Israel. This project is deeply emotional for me as an Israeli Jew, and I am excited to see how the Sefwis react to being in their spiritual home land."

-E. Bandell-Vandenberg

JOIN US ON AN HISTORIC JOURNEY!

With your support, not only can we shed light on this inspiring but little-known part of Jewish history, we can also fulfill the Sefwis' dream of connecting with the birthplace of their religion: Israel. For most of the community, this will be their first time ever stepping foot outside of Ghana.

WE ARE OFF!

The first phase of Production has begun and we are off to Ghana to begin filming, due 100% to the very generous support of all our donors! This phase will focus on the Sefwis' history and will paint a vivid picture of their life today. We will explore how Judaism has shaped who they are, their understanding of the world and their place within it. With filming being finished and editing commencing at the beginning of February, this phase of production will be finished in approximately April 2013.

In the meantime, we are still accepting (and very grateful for) any further donations towards this project. We have already begun fundraising for our second phase of production - the trip to Israel!

For this portion of the project we will be welcoming both monetary and several forms of in kind donations. Most specifically we are looking looking to provide members of the Sefwi community with video-enabled smartphones and enable them to post their own video diaries online. If you are able to donate an old smartphone - please contact us!

To find out more information on other ways to get involved, please contact us at info@fourcornersthefilm.com. In the meantime, we appreciate any support you can offer. Please follow the link below to donate today!
